Cookie Policy
Last updated: 28 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Vidis GmbH uses cookies and similar storage or access technologies on https://sunpuraenergy.co.uk.
The UK-facing Sunpura website is currently provided for product information and general enquiries only. It does not currently provide an active basket, checkout or online-payment function.

2. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your browser or device. They can help a website operate securely, remember settings and recognise a browser during or between visits.
Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage, software development tools and other methods that store information on, or access information from, a device.
3. When do we ask for consent?
Technologies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you request, protect the website, remember your privacy choice or maintain essential technical functions may be used without consent where the applicable exemption under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (“PECR”) applies.
Non-essential technologies, including non-exempt analytics, advertising, behavioural profiling, remarketing and optional embedded content, are used only after the consent required by PECR and the UK GDPR has been obtained.
The current UK information-only configuration is intended not to activate non-essential analytics, advertising, behavioural profiling or remarketing technologies for UK visitors.
4. Cookie categories
4.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for core functions such as:
- securely delivering pages and balancing network traffic;
- detecting malicious activity and protecting forms or sessions;
- checking whether the browser can use cookies;
- remembering country or language settings where required;
- recording and applying your cookie choices;
- maintaining essential Shopify platform functions.
Blocking these cookies through browser settings may prevent parts of the website from working correctly.
4.2 Functional cookies
Functional cookies can remember optional choices or provide enhanced features. The current UK information-only version does not intentionally activate non-essential functional cookies before the relevant permission has been obtained.
4.3 Analytics cookies
Analytics technologies can measure visits, navigation and website performance. Non-essential analytics cookies are not currently intended to be active for visitors to the UK-facing website.
If analytics is introduced later, this Policy and the consent interface will be updated before activation.
4.4 Advertising and remarketing cookies
Advertising and remarketing technologies can be used to create audiences, measure advertising or recognise activity across websites and services.
These technologies are not currently intended to be active for visitors to the UK-facing website. Shopify Network Intelligence advertising and cross-merchant personalisation features are also not intended to be enabled for UK visitors in the current information-only configuration.
4.5 External media and social content
Embedded videos, maps, social-media functions or other external content may allow a third party to store or access information on your device.
Where such technology is not strictly necessary, it should remain blocked until you choose to activate or accept the relevant category.
5. Shopify cookies used on the storefront
The website is hosted through Shopify. Depending on the exact Shopify configuration and functions used, Shopify may place cookies on a merchant storefront.
The following Shopify cookies are relevant to the current information-only configuration or to recording privacy choices:
| Cookie | Purpose | Typical duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
_shopify_essential |
Stores essential information required for correct and secure storefront operation, including anti-tampering information. | Up to 1 year | Strictly necessary |
_shopify_test |
Checks whether the browser supports cookies. | About 1 minute | Strictly necessary |
_tracking_consent |
Stores a visitor’s privacy and tracking preferences where regional privacy rules are configured. | Up to 1 year | Strictly necessary for consent management |
localization |
Helps apply the appropriate country or localisation setting. | Up to 2 weeks | Strictly necessary or functional, depending on configuration |
Shopify may change its cookie names, purposes or durations as its platform develops. Cookies linked to a basket, checkout, Shop Pay, discount codes or completed transactions are not intended to be used as active sales functions on the current UK information-only website.
Further information about cookies that Shopify may place on merchant storefronts is available in the Shopify Cookie Policy.
6. Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager may be present as a technical tag-management container. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
A tag-management container can be used to control other scripts and tags. For the current UK information-only configuration, it must not activate Google Analytics, advertising pixels, remarketing tags or other non-essential tracking before the required consent.
If no non-essential tags are active, Google Tag Manager must not be described or configured as an analytics or advertising service in its own right.
7. Current status of non-essential technologies
| Technology type | Current UK status |
|---|---|
| Strictly necessary Shopify and security technologies | Active where required for secure website operation and privacy-choice management. |
| Non-essential analytics | Not intended to be active for UK visitors. |
| Advertising and remarketing | Not intended to be active for UK visitors. |
| Cross-merchant personalisation and Shopify Network Intelligence advertising features | Not intended to be enabled for UK visitors. |
| Optional embedded media or social tracking | Must remain blocked unless the required consent is obtained. |
8. How to manage your choices
You can accept or reject available non-essential categories through the Shopify cookie banner.
You can review, change or withdraw your choices at any time through the permanent “Cookie preferences” link in the website footer.
Rejecting or withdrawing consent does not affect strictly necessary cookies. Withdrawal does not make earlier consent-based processing unlawful.
9. Browser controls
Most browsers allow you to view, delete or block cookies. Browser-level blocking may also remove cookies that are necessary for security, localisation or remembering your privacy choice, and may therefore affect website operation.
Browser settings do not replace the website’s consent controls for non-essential technologies.
10. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Policy when the website configuration, Shopify services, tags, embedded content, consent tools or legal requirements change.
The current version will be published on this page. Before introducing non-essential analytics, advertising, profiling or remarketing, we will update the relevant information and consent settings.
